• BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO SCOBA GEN SEC, CHARLEAN ADENIYI

  The Central Executive Council of SCOBA celebrates its General Secretary, Charlean (Omooba) Olusegun Adeniyi Tinubu as he marks his 47th birthday, today. He was born on April 30,  1974 to the family of Pa George Tinubu (a former Vice Principal of St. Charles') and Madam Tinubu of the Olasuka Royal House, Otan Ayegbaju, Osun State.

  EDUCATION

  He started his education very early in  1978 at St. Augustine's Primary School, Ipetumodu. In 1984/5 session, he proceeded to Origbo Community High School, Ipetumodu. With the transfer of his father to Osogbo in I986 and relocation of his family, he joined St. Charles' Grammar School in his form 2 in 1986 and graduated out of the school in 1989.

  He was admitted to Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti in 1990 to study Mechanical Engineering. In 1993, He had his one year industrial attachment with Osun State Transport Company OSTC, Osogbo after it was carved out of TCTC upon the creation of Osun State from the old Oyo State. 

  In 1994, he proceeded to Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos for his Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated in 1996 and served the nation with RWESA/ UNICEF Office, Yola, Adamawa State. He latter attended several other institutions for his professional training including Federal University of Technology, Yola, Technical Training Institute, TTE, Edison House, Middlesbrough UK,  American Training Institute, New York, Regenesys Business School Sandton, South Africa among others. 

  CAREER

  He started his career by working in the food processing equipment fabrication industry with a private firm in Lagos as a field Engineer. He developed a passion in design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of food processing and agro-allied industrial equipment. He is the CEO of Triangold Nigeria Limited, an equipment fabrication company located on Command Road, Ipaja, Lagos.  

  Charlean Tinubu currently works in the oil and gas industry. He joined Nigeria LNG Limited, Bonny Island as a Trainee Operator and has risen through the ranks to a Shift Supervisor in Gas Process operations, DCS and field, and his wide experience and work ethics have taken him on international assignments to other LNG Plants in far away Sakhalinsky Island in Russia, and to Sur, Oman in the Middle East.

  
  SCOBA ACTIVITIES
   
  Niyi is an active member and pioneer/ organizing coordinator of Stanza 849. He has all along been an active member of Lagos State Chapter, had served SCOBA as a member of the Networking and Mobilization Committee under the Charlean Tayo Orekoya Administration. He  served two terms as Assistant General Secretary of SCOBA (to Charleans Shina Morenigbade and Sola Oyegbade) under the Charlean Majek Okunola Owoo Administration. 

  He is the General Secretary of SCOBA under the current President, Charlean Rotimi Aluko. 

  He is a passionate farmer, a skill he learnt from daily (evening and weekend) visits to his father's farms while growing up. He is presently into growing his farm plantations around the South West of Nigeria. A devout Catholic, Charlean Tinubu is married to his hearhrob of many years, Mrs. Omobonike Tinubu and they are blessed with wonderful children.
