BIRTHDAY GREETINGS CHARLEAN PASTOR ABIDOGUN JP
SCOBA CEC rejoices with Charlean (Pastor) Oladosu Aderemi Abidogun (JP) as he marks his birthday, today. He was born to the family of Abidoguns of Lawoyin Compound, Oba Oke in Olorunda North Local Development Area of Osun State.
He attended LA Primary School Onigbodogi in Ife South Local Government Area and Saint James Primary School, Owoope, Osogbo. He thereafter attended St. Charles' Grammar School, Osogbo between 1967 and 1971 for his WASCE; the Premier University of Ibadan for his Bsc.(Hons) in Political Science in1982; Obafemi Awolowo University in 1988 for his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) and Ladoke Akintola University in 2002 for his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
He taught in many secondary Schools and College of Education Ilesha (Iwo Campus) between 1983 to 1989; took the Local Government Service job from the old Oyo State in 1989. While there, he served in various capacities as Administrative Officer, Deputy Director of Personnel Management, Local Government Secretary.
In 2011, he was promoted to the post of Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA) and served in that capacity in various Local Government Councils in the State. While in service, he visited and had workshops/ seminars in many countries, including; Benin Republic, Ghana, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
In 2015, he was deployed to serve in the mainstream State Civil Service, where he was made a Coordinating Director in the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Director of Administration and Finance in the Office of Auditor-General for Local Government and lastly the Director of Administration and Supplies in the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning where he finally retired in April, 2018. He is always concerned about and committed to the development of his community, Oba-Oke and hence, he was elected President of Oba Oke Development Union, a position that he still holds to date.
From school, the Alumni Association, Civil Service, Community and social life, he has won several awards, including; *Best well Behaved Prefect of the Year 1970 in St. Charles' Grammar School*, *Merit Award by St. Charles' Old Boys Association for his meaningful contribution to the development of the school*, *Justice of Peace on 12th February, 2002*, *Merit Award by Osun State RATAWU in 2004*, *Merit Award by Oba Oke Youth Development Group, in 2016*, *on 15th of November, 2016, he was given another Merit Award by Osun Christian Association of Nigeria (OSCAON)*, and *he was ordained Pastor in October, 2020*
He is happily married to Mrs. Abigail Adeyinka Abidogun and they are both blessed with many children and grand children.
