The entire Charlean family is, indeed, in celebration mood as our own dear Bashorun Rotimi Obeisun as he clocks 63. SCOBA CEC congratulates him, his family (nuclear and extended), Stanza 704 (his Set), friends and associates on the mercy and grace of God on his life that have enabled him to see this day.

Rotimi Obeisun Investment Limited is a well-established holding company for a foremost diversified business conglomerate in Nigeria. It was established in 1995 by Bashorun Rotimi Obeisun, known for his midas touch in businesses and strong track record in successful investments across the globe.
Fielding questions from Journalists in the build-up to his 60th birthday in 2018, Charlean (Bashorun) Obeisun recounted the worst day in his life as the day his father died. For him, it was like the end of the world. The future looked bleak. His father was everything to him: he was the breadwinner, a successful businessman who was into textiles trade, had a bakery and was a transporter while Mama was simply a housewife. But Mama rose to the occasion by training him up to secondary school level. For his 60th birthday and to immortalise Mama Grace Obeisun, he donated a church, a multipurpose architectural edifice, (with a cost put at N100m) to Christ Apostolic Church in his hometown, Ijebu-Ijesha, Osun State.
After the painful death of his father, Basorun Obeisun picked himself up from the ashes of a great loss and chose to give the disaster a positive twist to the sad incident by seeing the loss as an opportunity to eliminate the possibility of dependency syndrome from his life as he had to uncover his God-given talents to excel and thereby awakening the survival spirit within him. According to him, if his father had been around for a longer time, he would have provided for all his needs while growing up, thereby making life too easy for him to develop any burning desire that would enable him unlock his innate talents and gifts of God within. He advised youths with similar experiences to borrow a leaf from him.
From the Department of Customs & Excise he moved over to the then Oyo State Civil Service/Legislature. He later took the risk of venturing into the risk-laden murky world of business, fraught with several debilitating uncertainties. In this adventure. Fortunately, he had the solid support of his heartthrob, Mrs Bosede Obeisun to count on and be propelled for success. And succeed he did with his wife's encouragement. He is eternally grateful for this. Mrs. Bosede Obeisun is his "hand in glove" partner in progress every step of the way. Bashorun Obeisun's driving force of success is the personal willpower to overcome challenges, coupled with strong determination and the grace of God.
On the
SCOBA front, distinguished Charlean (Bashorun) Rotimi Obeisun has been a very dependable pillar of support. It's on record that the funding of the association's Alumni Hall project benefitted largely from his generous philanthropic spirit and giving. His financial contributions to the project remains unparalleled while his standing commitment to its further development symbolises his indefatigable giving spirit incapable of suffering or exhibiting fatigue. Not only does our dear Basorun readily accept requests for support when called upon, he is noted for voluntarily going off his way to seek pending tasks to be solved.
Bashorun Obeisun's activities are not limited to monetary gifts. He is a very effective backend leader who often silently offers useful advices and admonitions of mutual support and unity to the association and CEC. A man of means and very wide connections in business, government and politics who periodically avails us privileged information and platforms that could enhance the cause of the association.
TO CHARLEAN (BASHORUN) ROTIMI OBEISUN, we hereby express our immense gratitude for his past, present and assured future moral and financial contributions to SCOBA. May God continue to bless you and enlarge your coast.
Charlean (Bashorun) Rotimi Obeisun is happily married to Mrs. Bosede Obeisun and are blessed with wonderful children who are also beginning to make their mark in their generation.
