BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO CHARLEAN (HON) OYEWO
Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day to Charlean (Honourable) Olubukola Oyegbile Oyewo (BUKOY), Stanza 789/Member, 9th National Assembly, on his 57th birthday.
A scion of late Chief M.A Oyewo, the first Asiwaju of Ifon Orolu Land, Charlean (Honourable) Olubukola Oyegbile Oyewo was born on December 26, 1963, attended L.A Town School, Idi-Ope, Oyo in Oyo State and Methodist Primary School, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State where he had his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1974. He commenced his Secondary Education at Ilora Baptist High School, Ilora, Oyo State (for his Form One) between 1974 and 1975 before proceeding to and graduating at St Charles' Grammar School. He wrote WASCE in 1979 and came out in flying colours. He attended and graduated from The Polytechnic, Ibadan with Higher National Diploma (HND) – Estate Management (Upper Credit) - 1985, MBA in Financial Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology ( LAUTECH), Ogbomosho where he studied between 1999-2001 and another MBA from Ekiti State University in 2008.
A member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (2005), Charlean (Honourable) Olubukola Oyegbile Oyewo also holds a (1) Certificate in Entrepreneurship - 1987 (2)Certificate of Completion and Secrets To Business Success (Seminar Award by Bank of Industry/Rimsom Associate, 2007).
Interestingly, Charlean (Honourable) Oyewo had shown some of his leadership traits as a future Parliamentarian, after learning the ropes as a Member of the Students Representative Council (SRC) at The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1985. He was also the Social Secretary of Estate Management Students Association of the same institution in 1984.
Prior to gaining admission to The Polytechnic Ibadan in 1980, he was an Auxiliary Teacher under Osun Central Schools Management Board and worked briefly as a Clerk at the Ministry of Education, State Library Ibadan in the old Oyo State. His Post Graduate work experience began as a National Youth Service Corp member at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC between 1985 and 1986.
After his Youth Service, Charlean Oyewo started his own business as the Managing Director of Consociate Properties which deals in Property Management/Development in 1986, a position he holds till date. The company gave birth to Bukoy Farms/Agro Processing, Ifon, Osun State which took off in 1987 and Bukoy Yew Limited, a Building/Civil Engineering Construction Firm that was incorporated in 1990. The companies have made appreciable socio-economic impact on the society from the employment of qualified indigenous graduates and artisans who have had livelihood opportunities while making immense contributions to the growth of his businesses. Numerous laudable Building/Civil Engineering Construction Projects were successfully executed by his construction firm at both state and national levels.
He was a member of Irepodun Local Government Tenement Rate Tribunal in 1991 and later on served as Supervisory Councillor for Works and Member of the Transition Committee of Orolu Local Government between June 2002 and May 2005.
Hon. Oyewo (Bukoy) is a member of the Governing Council of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa.
Charlean (Hon) Oyewo (Bukoy) currently represents Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly.

Bukoy is married to his ever supportive wife, Foluke Oyewo, and the union is blessed with children.
