CHARLEANS CELEBRATES WITH IMMEDIATE PAST 1ST VEE-PEE OLATUNJI
SCOBA CEC felicitates with Past Chairman, Stanza 737 and our Immediate Past 1st Vice President, Charlean Felix Ayodele Olatunji (FCA, FCTI), as he clocks 63 today.
Born on December 5, 1957 in Ghana to the family of Late Pa Joel Olatunji Fabamiwo and Madam Rachael Ojuolape Olatunji both of Okemesi Ekiti in Ekiti State Nigeria. He attended the Local Authority (LA) Primary School, Okemesi Ekiti from January 1965 to December 1970 for his Primary School education. He was at St. Charles Grammar School, Osogbo for his secondary education between January 1973 and June 1977.
Between January, 1978 and September, 1979 he worked as an Accounts Clerk at the National Control Centre (NCC) of the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) Osogbo. He was at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti for his higher education between October 1979 and June 1983 where he studied Accountancy and obtained Higher National Diploma in Accountancy in 1983. He also attended Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti between 1998 and 2000 for his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Finance.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a prize winner of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) - he got a prize as the overall 3rd best qualifying student in the diets final Professional examination and thus became Associate member of the Institute. He is also a Chartered Tax Practitioner. He became a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2001, and also a Fellow (FCTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) in 2007.
Charlean Olatunji started his working career with NIGER OPTICAL SERVICES NIGERIA LIMITED in Aba, first as a Youth Corper (NYSC) between 1983 and 1984 and later as the Regional Accountant in the company, covering all the branches of the company in the then Bendel, Imo, Rivers and Cross River States (present day Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom, Cross-River, Abia and Imo States) for the period July 1984 to June 1986.
Between July 1986 and April 1994, he worked as the Area Accountant (East) and rose to the position of the Group Internal Auditor at SEEPC NIGERIA LIMITED, a multinational company and Manufacturer of SANDERS LIVESTOCK FEEDS, Lagos.
Charlean Olatunji joined the firm of OLUSOLA AJAYI & CO. (Chartered Accountants) as an Audit Supervisor in May, 1994 and left the firm in January 1997 as Audit Manager to join the firm of OLUSOLA ADEKANOLA & CO. (Chartered Accountants) as a Senior Consultant in February 1997. He rose to the post of Senior Principal Consultant before leaving the firm in January 2001 to set up his own practice in February 2001, having obtained the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigerias (ICAN) Practicing License and satisfied the Institute's condition for setting up a practice.
He is the founding partner of AYODELE OLATUNJI & CO. (a firm of Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners) which came into existence in February, 2001 and he has since been providing the necessary leadership for the activities of the firm, including positioning the firm to meet increasing challenges of the future. He is presently the Managing Partner of the firm. Charlean Olatunji held the post of Chairman of his Stanza (Stanza 737) for the period 2012 to 2015 and also the Immediate Past 1st Vice President of SCOBA (2014 2018), under the Majek Okunola Owoo-led CEC.
An easygoing gentleman, Charlean Felix Olatunji was nick-named DODO at Ogba Aguda. He enjoys travelling; has been to many countries of the world, including the Holy land of Israel on a Jerusalem Pilgrimage with his wife. He is happily married to Mrs. JOYCE ADUNOLA OLATUNJI (Nee OLAJUMOKE) and both are blessed with three boys, two girls and two granddaughters - two of the boys are presently based in Canada.
