• Happy Birthday Charlean Rufus Oluwafemi.

   

  Unarguably the oldest member of 789 Stanza who used his age, status, wisdom and towering figure to

  • (a) protect us younger ones from the 'whims & caprices' of Seniors in school then and

  • (b) knock many of us straying into unnecessary, dangerous escapades back in line to conformity along established school rules.

   

  Bros. Ruffy remains a stabilising figure on seeming 'contentious and cantankerous' issues in 789, even in his faraway French and German locations where he has been since exiting St. Charles' in 1978. He has not ceased from touching base with the Stanza & its members ever since.

   

  CEC interestingly notes that Charleans Oluwafemi and Oloke were Labour Prefects of 1977-78 and 1978-79 respectively.
